Department Alumni Meet- October 2022
The Department of Biosciences conducted the alumni meet ‘NOSTU RELOADED!’ on October 8 th 2022 at 2.00 p.m. at VMA Hall, as a part of centenary celebrations of our college. Rev. Thomas John, Manager inaugurated the meet. Dr. Sareen Sarah John, Head of the Department, presided over the function. Prof. Jacob Kurian, who was instrumental in forming our department, replenished his memories leading to the genesis of the department. Prof. C.M. Mathew, former Head of the Botany Department also spoke on the occasion. Three eminent Alumni – Mr Jophy C.J, Food safety consultant, JCJ Consultancy, Aluva, Mrs. Ninu Angel Tom, Principal, God’s own public School, Aluva and Mr Basil P. Baby, filmmaker, shared their experiences, memories and achievements which will surely inspire the future batches. Mr. Arun Hari, 4basecare Onco Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, Mr. K.N. Said Ibin, Football coach, Union Christian College, Aluva and Ms. Keerthana Bhaskaran, Bioinformatician, Chennai , who were also the alumni of this department shared their sweet memories. Various cultural programs performed by the current students also added the glee. Mrs. Diya Dominic, Assistant Professor and Mrs. Ahna Ameer, Assistant Professor also spoke on the occasion. The program was a great success with the active participation of all concerned.
